I've just seen an abject display from my team

We were winning 2:0 with five minutes left

When they simply contrived to leave me bereft

Of any hope

That we will ever

Win another fucking game

Against anyone not even as clever

As a bunch of brain dead one-legged and lame

Drunken old age pensioners

Playing blindfolded and with a pantomime dame

Football. Bloody Hell.

Do you see what I'm saying?

I've just witnessed an abysmal attempt at playing

From a position in front with five minutes left

When they simply contrived with a skill so deft

Of losing it

Against nine men

And not for the first time

Have I witnessed their acumen

To shoot themselves in the foot with skills sublime

That beggar belief in

Their power to snatch defeat at the winning line
